Review: L.A. Girl Pro BB Cream

Review: L.A. Girl Pro BB Cream

I’ve been wanting to try out the L.A. Girl HD PRO BB Cream for some time. I purchased three different shades as I was unsure of the perfect match for my skintone. L.A. Girl is a very affordable brand which many people raves about, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to try out this brand. I also purchased some of their pro concealers, so stay tuned for a review of them! I purchased the BB creams from where they’re available for $7,70.

The shades I bought was fair, light-medium and medium. Honestly I don’t know why I went for medium, I just don’t think I realised how pale I am before I tried it hahahah. The shade fair is the lightest one, but it is too dark for my skintone. I can make it work but I really need to bronze up my neck to get it to match. I think it’s such a shame that they don’t have any lighter shades, because I know there people out there with lighter skin than me.

Here I swatched the three shades I own. Next to the lightest I swatched a foundation which is the perfect match for me (the L’Oreal Paris True Match foundation in the shade rose ivory – which is their lightest) which really shows how dark the “fair” one is.

I really like the formula of this though. I think it applies beautiful on the skin while giving it a very healthy look. Because it is a BB cream it will not have that much coverage, so I really like to use it when my skin is clear where it will really emphasise my skin. Of course you can use it everyday if you want to, I just love the coverage of a foundation. On their own website,, they say that this BB cream is without parabens, fragrance-free, and got vitamin B3, C and E in it. That is three thing I really love! Especially because my skin is sensitive so I wan’t to avoid parabens and fragrance in my makeup and skincare. They also state that they cover a wide range of skin colours, which I don’t agree with as I already told you about. At least not in the fair end. I feel like they got a lot of medium shades and a few shades for darker skintones, but they could’ve expanded their range a bit more. At last they state that this product is a all-in-one skin beautifier that primes, moisturises and enhance skin tone. As I just mentioned, this does makes my skin look gorgeous! I don’t feel like I can say if it enhances skintone as they don’t have a shade thats light enough for me.

I actually don’t think I can say anything bad about this product other than they don’t have enough shades! I will give this product 4 out of 5 heart because of the shade range.

If you think there’s a shade that matches your skintone, then don’t hesitate to try it out! You won’t regret it!
