Review: Dermacol Makeup Cover Foundation

Review: Dermacol Makeup Cover Foundation

I have had this foundation for a bit over two years now, which is why it’s nearly empty. But I will be able to give you a very good review now, because I have been using it for so long hahahah. I bought mine for around £11 of eBay as I could not find anywhere else to buy them inside of EU. The seller I bought it from two years ago don’t sell them anymore, but if you are going to buy yours of eBay, then a good tip will be that you look after products that are in the same price range as the product itself. Looking through the different options I think that I would buy it here, as the price seems okay and the seller is from the Czech Republic, which is where the brand is from.

I got mine in the shade 207. I do not think that it is the lightest shade as 208 appears lighter, but it is the lowest number. I still feel like this shade matches my skintone pretty good. The same seller I mentioned before seems to have swatches of all of the shades.

On their website they state that the foundation are waterproof, hypoallergenic, for all skin types, have SPF 30, preservative free and got extreme full coverage. I really like that it is hypoallergenic (I have not felt anything on my sensitive skin) and preservative free. I really enjoy the SPF 30 but I still add sunscreen to my face before I use any kind of makeup. I can tell from my own experience, that the foundation really is waterproof, which I think is a big plus in my book! I got normal skin and the foundation works great on my skintype! I think it would be good on oily skin too, I don’t know about dry skin as the foundation is pretty thick and full coverage, so maybe it will cling to dry spots? If you got dry or oily skin, then be welcome to give us a mini review in the comments!

As just said, the foundation is really think and extremely full coverage! It is so full coverage that you really don’t need a concealer afterwards! You don’t need a lot of product to get the full coverage. I like to take just a tiny “drop” and put it on the back on my hand and warm it up a bit and then put it on my face with a flat foundation brush or my finger and blend it out with a sponge. You can of course tell that you are wearing foundation because it is so full coverage. The pores on my cheeks gets really exaggerated and if I don’t set it, the foundation will of course crease and settle into fine lines. If you make sure to set it really good, then I don’t think there would be any problem!

I think this foundation from Dermacol deserves five hearts out of five possible! I really enjoy the foundation and I’ve actually used it almost every single day since I got it 2 years ago! The only little thing I don’t like is that the tube it comes in starts cracking when it starts getting empty. So every time I use it now I will have foundation all over my hands… So maybe a different type of material would be good for the tube job! That is actually the only negative thing I have to say – I hope you enjoyed the review! If you have tried the foundation then let me know your opinion on it in the comments!
