Empties #2: Lancôme, Bastiste, Pixi and more!

Empties #2: Lancôme, Bastiste, Pixi and more!

This is only my second empties post but I wanted to collect as many empty products as possible which is very hard when you keep forgetting to save the stuff you’re supposed to be trashing! But this is what I’ve been using up since my last post. Keep reading for mini reviews of the products!

The Bastiste Dry Shampoo was also in my last empties and will properly be in the next one as well. I love this dry shampoo so much and I honestly can’t live without! It is the only brand of dry shampoo I use and I love all of the scents you can get them in! My absolute favourite is the tropical one which smells of coconuts!

These four products from Lancôme was a part of a set I got for Christmas. Maybe the products were from two different gift sets – I can’t remember. Since I started wearing makeup Lancôme has been one of my favourite brands! I’ve always been loving their mascaras and now I’ve also been falling in love with their gorgeous but pricey skincare. The big moisturiser was their Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Cream which is a day cream that really moisturised my skin. They state that this will work on every skin type even sensitive which I only can agree with. I got normal sensitive skin and it really made my skin so lovely! I could imagine this would work on both dry and oily skin as they state. I also used up a mini of their Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Serum-In-Mask. This is an overnight mask which did wonders for my skin! When I woke up the next morning my skin would feel incredible soft and look fantastic! This might be the product I would recommend most out of all four! Another mini I’ve used up is the Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Night Cream which did moisturise my skin as many other affordable night creams would have done. I really liked it but to be honest I don’t think you need it. But would I still repurchase it? I think I would as I felt it helped my skin stressing down as I was in a very stressed period of my life which you could tell on my skin. At last, I’ve also tried the Tonique Douceur which is a hydrating toner without alcohol in it. I love toners and I can’t live without! I again really liked this product and loved the way it made my skin feel. As they also recommend on their website, this might not be for people with dry skin as I would imagine it wouldn’t be any good. Even if you got normal skin but tend to go dry I would not recommend this.

The Pure & Natural Cleansing Milk from Nivea has been one of my favourites for soooo many years now and I don’t even know how many bottles I’ve gone through. It is very good for my sensitive skin and cleanses my skin in depth. I also always use the Sensitive Cleaning Micellar Water and I’ve also been using that one for years! Unfortunately that is a product I trashed when it was empty which is why it isn’t seen on any pictures hahah. You can get the micellar water for a lot of skin types like normal and dry etc.

This is a T-zone peeling from some danish bloggers, Pudderdåserne, who got their own skincare brand. This is a cream which exfoliates the surface of the skin and cleanses the pores. I fell in love with this product the first time I tried it and have used it every night since then. You can also use it two times a day but I feel like one time a day is the perfect amount for my sensitive skin. However, every now and then when I have a lot of breakouts I like to use it two times a day to get rid of the breakouts as quickly as possible. After I started using it, it really helped my skin clearing up and now I almost never got any breakouts! It is also important not to wash it of after applied otherwise you won’t see the effect. Even though this is called a T-zone peeling you can still use it all over your face. A more international product with the same benefits will be this one from Paula’s Choice. I have not tried it but it will do the same thing because of the salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a BHA (beta-hydroxy acid) which will exfoliate the skin and reduce scarring, fine lines, redness and help get rid of pimples. If you suffer from acne then this product might not do enough for your skin.

This is my absolute go-to when doing my brows! It is the Tony Moly Auto Eye Brow in Brown. I buy mine of eBay where it only costs £3.46! This is the perfect shade for my eyebrows and it is so easy to use! This will last you all day – even in the rain!

I got this mini Pixi Glow Tonic in a danish makeup subscription box and ever since I tried it the first time I have wanted to buy the big bottle! It is a exfoliating toner with 5% glycolic acid. The glycolic acid, which is a AHA (alfa-hydroxy acid), is used to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. It can reduce acne scars, hyper pigmentation and fine lines. I used this in my morning routine when I was not using the T-zone peeling and this product performed so good! I could really feel how it exfoliated my skin while still keeping it hydrated. Trying out this product really made me want to try out more products from Pixi!

This is another product I got from the same makeup subscription box. It is the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules for the face. They contain a serum with ceramides, which is lipids, which is a component in our cells membranes. The ceramides of the capsules will restore the moisture, and strengthen the natural barrier of the skin. I liked to use these on my no-makeup days when I was just staying at home as I wanted to make sure the product was properly absorbed by my skin. It made my skin feel so soft and refreshed. Even though this is a pricey product I definitely think I would repurchase it or buy a ceramide cream.

This is another Korean product but this is a Snail Gel from MIZON. Again I have bought my product of eBay which might seem terrifying to some people but as long you make sure that you get your korean products from a Korean seller – and not Chinese! – you’re safe! The reason I write this is because the Koreans is very strict about the ingredients in their skincare products, which they’re not in China and you therefore might risk getting a fake product. The snail secrete in this product will help hydrate and calm your skin. I felt this product did wonders for my skin! It smoothed everything out and helped reduce my redness. Sometimes I would also use this as a primer because I really like the smoothing effect of it.

This was all my empties for this time – let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and how you like them! Also let me know if you found a product you might want to check out!
