The Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills (£41 for 14 x 0.7 g) have been on the marked for quite some time now. I have heard so many people say positive things about the eyeshadow palette so I finally got around buying the palette myself and finally received it! So, is this palette worth the hype?
They don’t say much about this palette on their website but they state that the palette
– is able to create endless looks for daytime and evening
– consists of highly pigmented, easy-to-blend eyeshadows
And lets be honest – what more do we need? The palette consists of 14 shadows (11 mattes and 3 shimmers) in the neutral and berry tones. I really love the colour theme of the palette and I really like that the majority of the shadows are matte. My absolutte favourite shadow from the palette is Buon Fresco – that shadow really screams my name! With the eyeshadow palette you also get a dual ended brush and a nice sized mirror. I don’t think the brush is anything special and prefer my own.
Many of the finger swatches of the shadows from above looks really great but others not so great. Luckily the shadows perform way better on the eyes with brushes than when you swatch them with your fingers. I find the shadows to be very pigmented on the eyes and are easy to build up to make them even more pigmented! I also find them very easy to blend. This palette really want me to try more shadows from Anastasia Beverly Hills! I also find that this palette will work for makeup looks for both day and night as they promise. I don’t see any fallout from any of the matte shadows but Venetian Red but of course from the shimmer shadows; Vermeer, Antique Bronze, & Primavera.
Even though this palette is new to my makeup collection I already know this is going to be a favourite of mine. This is also why I will give this palette 5 out of 5 possible hearts!
I really don’t have anything negative to say about this palette. I maybe would have liked if there was more product in the palette as there is not even a full gram in every pan. But other than that I don’t have anything else to point out. I really enjoy this palette and I think it is worth the money. Have you tried it? If you have then let me know your opinion in the comments! If you haven’t, then let me know if you want to!
