Review: ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix

Review: ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix

The ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix (£4 for 1 g) is one of the four finishes ColourPop offers their lipstick – Lippie Stix – in. The three other finishes they offer is matte, satin, and créme which I will review for you separately in other posts.

On their website they state that the lipstick
gives you full-coverage in one swipe
is an ultra matte finish (like a liquid lipstick) with a comfortable formula

The first thing I will say is that the lipstick is very pigmented! And as they state, it will give you full-coverage in just one swipe! When wearing the lipstick on the lips they look like a matte liquid lipstick but is way more comfortable, as they also state on their website, and do not feel drying on your lips. Because they are an ultra matte finish I would definitely exfoliate my lips before applying them which they also advise on their website. Another thing they also advise is to apply a matching lipliner which also is a thing I would strongly recommend as the lipstick skips a bit which is very obvious at the edges of your lips and that does not look cute!

I really enjoy this Matte X Lippie Stix and I think it is a really good deal. The only thing I don’t love is the skipping it does. But again, you can avoid it with a lip liner so the Matte X Lippie Stix is a product you need to have time for. I will award this product 4 hearts out of 5 possible.

The only reason I don’t give this product the 5 hearts is of course because of the skipping which makes it a more time consuming product. But as said before, I think this is an amazing product for the cost! Have you tried the Matte X Lippie Stix from ColourPop? If you have, then let me know your opinion in the comments!

I am sorry for the different lighting at the lip swatches – the sun did not want to corroborate 😉

  1. I love color and I’m always in search for highly pigmented lip shades, I struggle with dryness so I may try exfoliating beforehand like you mentioned. Great share.
