The Benefit Cosmetics GALifornia Blush (£24.50 for 5 g) is the newest blush that the brand Benefit Cosmetics has launched. It is described as a sunny golden pink blusher which comes with a brush. There are six other powder blushes available from Benefit Cosmetics.
I don’t really think they state anything useful about the blush on their website. I think it would have been nice to know if they would classify it as pigmented, having a high blend ability – they do state that it is shimmery, though!
I fell in love the first time I saw this blush! I loved everything about it; the shade, the design on the box, the design on the powder – everything! I think the gold on top of the pink coral blush is soooo stunning so it upsets me that it is just an overspray. On the pictures beneath you can see the blush before and after I’ve swatched it.
The blush is very low in pigment. I use the Blush brush from Real Techniques which is a more fluffy brush. If you use a more dense brush to apply your blush then it will be more pigmented. I like that the blush is not that pigmented because I rather build it up instead of ruining my makeup because the blush is too intense. I think it blends beautifully into the skin and gives a natural flushed look. It comes with a brush which might be handy for some but it is not what I would like to apply my blush with and I never do my makeup on the go so I will never use that brush.
I think the blush is absolutely stunning and I will definitely try some of the other blushes the brand offers. I will award this blush 4.5 hearts out of 5 possible.
The reason I don’t give this blush the full 5 hearts is because it fades a bit during the day which I am not in the mood for! Would I repurchase this product? Absolutely! Have you tried the GALifornia Blush from Benefit Cosmetics? If you have, then let me know your opinion in the comments!
