Review: Makeup Revolution Ghost Lights Highlighter

Review: Makeup Revolution Ghost Lights Highlighter

The Makeup Revolution Ghost Lights Highlighter (£3 for 7.5 g) is a highlighter the brand offers for Halloween. If it is limited edition or is available in different packaging I don’t know. I can’t find other of their individual highlighters that look like this one. Why they did a skull in the product instead of a ghost when it is called ghost lights highlighter I don’t know either hahah.

On their website they state that the highlighter
is an iridescent pearlescent white highlighter with a pink shift
is highly pigmented
have a stunning finish

I think it is such a great idea that they made makeup for Halloween! They also made a contour kit with a black and a white shade which might not be the one to chose for an everyday look hahah. But I though this highlight would work great even though it isn’t Halloween. The highlighter do have an iridescent pearlescent white highlighter with a pink shift which I think is so stunning! For the price I think this highlighter is absolute gorgeous! I did not expect it to be the most blinding highlight I have ever seen as they describe it as an iridescent highlighter. They also do state that it is highly pigmented which I do think it is for a iridescent highlighter. The product looks so nice when applied to the skin. I did not see it emphasise any texture at all and it looks so smooth! I actually think this is a dupe for the Jeffree Star Summer Chrome Collection Skin Frost in the shade Crystal Ball which I don’t think is available anymore. The only difference is the Jeffree Star Crystal Ball looks more white when swatching it but it got that same pink shift to it when applied to the skin. Also, the Jeffree Star Crystal Ball is more pigmented than the Ghost Lights Highlighter. I also think this is a dupe or a powder version of the Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in the shade Monster. So if you don’t want to work with the creme formula that Monster comes in, then I would suggest looking into this one.

I will award this highlighter 5 hearts out of 5 possible.

I really enjoy this highlighter and can’t believe it’s only £3! It does fade a bit during the wear time but it still looks great! Have you tried the Ghost Lights Highlighter from Makeup Revolution? If you have, then let me know your opinion in the comments!

    1. I think it would work if you used a darker highlight as well, so the darker highligt all over the cheekbone for example and then this one (or any other light highlight) at the very high points xx
