The NYX Cosmetics Tame & Frame Brow Pomade (£6 for 5 g) is the only brow pomade the brand offers. They do offer other kinds of brow products like a powder, five different kinds of pencils, gels, and a wax pencil for shaping the brow. The pomade is available in five shades; Blonde, Chocolate, Brunette, Espresso, and Black. I own the shade Brunette which is darker than my natural brows.
On their website they state that the pomade
– is easy to use
– glides onto skin and hair
– have a smudge- and waterproof formula
The first couple of times I used the pomade it was easy to use and glided onto skin and over hairs very easy. But as time went by I think it got more and more dry and I had to dip my brush into the pomade a lot more to get any pay-off at all. As it got more dry it got harder to use when doing the tail of the brow where I have less hair compared to the rest of my brow.
When I have restored the creaminess of the product with a drop of oil or the Inglot Duraline then the product is all good again and applies beautifully to the skin and glides easily over hairs. The formula of the pomade stays on your skin for a good amount of time. It does not smudge easily and does do not move around on me when I am in the rain or are sweating.
I will award this brow pomade 4.5 hearts out of 5 possible.
I think this brow pomade is really good for the cost! I hate that it dries out and you have to do the extra work to keep it creamy. I know there’s not much of an effort in applying one drop to the pomade but I still think it is annoying that you have to. But I do think products like brow pomades and gel eyeliners generally dries out even though it is a high-end product. Have you tried the Tame & Frame Brow Pomade from NYX Cosmetics? If you have, then let me know your opinion in the comments!
