Tutorial: Spotlight Cut Crease for New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner which is why I wanted to give you some inspiration for the perfect glam look for the occasion! I have created a spotlight cut crease using the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny Eyeshadow Palette. If you are interested in a full review of this palette, then you can read it all right here! If you want to learn how I created this look, then keep on reading!

As mentioned, I used the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny Palette. I started to lay down the shadow Swallow from the palette using the Pointed Blender Brush from Coastal Scents. Here I don’t blend anything I just place the shadow in the shape I want but don’t bring it up too high as you, of course, want to blend out the edges. For that, we will use a lighter shade so I slightly dip my Blender Brush from Coastal Scents into the shadow Poison and with small circular motions, I blend out the edges.

To make the cut crease I use the LA Girl Pro Conceal in the shade Porcelain. For brush, I use the Small Concealer Brush from Coastal Scents. After I have layed down the concealer, I set it with a bit of translucent powder to make sure it doesn’t transfer anywhere. On top of the concealer, I lay down some of the shadow Frosting using a sponge tip applicator. At the places I know I need to be precise, I use the Pointed Detail Brush from Coastal Scents. I especially want to be precise at the top of the cut crease and around the edges as I want to make sure it looks blended into the blue shade. To complete the lid, I applied a thin line of black eyeliner as close to my upper lashline as possible. I here used the NYX Cosmetics Matte Liquid Liner. To complete the eyeshadow, I applied some of the Swallow shade under my lower lashline with the Pointed Blender Brush and blended out the edges using the Blender Brush.

Now, finish up your makeup! For my lashes I used the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara. For my brows, I used the Tony Moly Easy Touch Auto Eye Brow in the shade Brown. For my highlight, I used the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in the shade Eclipse.

I hope you enjoyed this look! If you have any questions, then don’t be afraid to ask! I hope you all have a wonderful New Year! Be careful! xx
