TUTORIAL: PINK & BLUE CUT CREASE

TUTORIAL: PINK & BLUE CUT CREASE

By the name of this tutorial you might think this is a tutorial for a very fancy pink and blue cut crease with some mindblown details, but it is actually just a very simple pink and blue cut crease hahahah! I just have been loving the colours lately so I thought I wanted to use them in a makeup look and try to make it as wearable as possible.

I started out by priming my lids with the MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Soft Ochre and used a translucent powder to set it. For the pink shadow, I used the Revolution Blush Palette in All About Pink (*) which is seen on the left. I started out by laying down some of the shade which I numbered “1” with the Pointed Blender Brush from Coastal Scents. I then dipped the Crease Blender Brush from Coastal Scents into the shade I numbered “2” and blended out the edges of “1”. Keep reintensifying the first shadow until you are satisfied. To make sure that the edges are seamless, I used a clean Classic Blender Brush from Coastal Scents which I just swiped over the edges.

Now it is time to cut the crease! I used the Dermacol Foundation (I bought mine off eBay) with the Small Foundation Concealer Brush from Coastal Scents and used a translucent setting powder to set the concealer afterwards. I then reintensified the pink shadow just above the concealer with the Pointed Blender Brush with some of the shadow at “1” and “3” mixed together. The next step is to apply a winged eyeliner and here I used the Vivid Brights Eyeliner by NYX Cosmetics in the shade Sapphire (*). If you are in doubt of how to master a winged eyeliner, then I have a full tutorial for an easy winged eyeliner right here!

To finish up the look I applied the highlighter shade numbered “4” from the All About Pink Palette as my highlight. I did my brows using the NYX Cosmetics Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade (*) in the two shades Blonde and Brunette (see a full tutorial on my brows here) and used the NYX Cosmetics Control Freak Eyebrow Gel to keep them in place. For mascara, I used the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara and my lip colour is the NYX Cosmetics Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Silk Indulgent (*).

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look! I really enjoy the mix of pink and cobalt blue and I think it is such a summer look! Thank you so much for reading, I hope to see you back soon xx
