Yay! Finally, another makeup look in my Harry Potter inspired makeup series! This time, I chose to be inspired by one of the evilest characters in the Harry Potter universe, none other than Dolores Umbridge! If you are not familiar with Umbridge or maybe have watched the movies once, then just to help your memory; she is the lady dressed in pink who the Ministry of Magic send of to Hogwarts as the professor in Defence Against the Dark Arts in Harry’s fifth year (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). She later became High Inquisitor of Hogwarts and then Headmistress. One of the things I remember Umbridge for is how she punished Harry and some of the other students. She used a quill which used the blood of the writer as ink while it carved the written words into the writer’s hand. The first time you see Umbridge use this form of punishment is when Harry dared to contradict the Ministry of Magic’s stance. Umbridge told Harry to write the sentence “I must not tell lies” which has inspired this makeup look. If you are interested in seeing how I created this, then please keep reading!

To start off this look, I primed my lids with the MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Soft Ochre and I used a translucent powder to set it. For the pink shadow, I used the Makeup Revolution All About Pink Blush Palette (*). I started out with laying down the hot pink blush in the middle of the top row with the Pointed Blender Brush from Coastal Scents. I then dipped the Blender Crease Brush from Coastal Scents into the lightest blush in the palette (top row, far left) and blended out the edges of the hot pink shadow.

To deepen the crease a bit I used the first shade from the right on the second row from the BH Cosmetics x Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette with the Blender Crease Brush. I only used a tiny bit and it might not even be noticeable, but I see it hahaha. For the pink shimmer, I first applied the pink highlight shade from the BH Cosmetics x Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette with a sponge tip applicator. As the shimmer did not pop as I wanted them to, I went over it with pink/purple highlight shade from the Makeup Revolution All About Pink Blush Palette (*) with the same sponge tip applicator. I think this look would have looked better with a pink glitter instead, but I do not own one so I had to go with this.

For the liner with the word “lies”, I used the NYX Cosmetics Vivid Brights Eyeliner in the shade Fire (*). If you want to recreate this look, then try to do the liner before you do the eyeshadow to make sure you know where to write the letters and how to control the liner. I am also not sure if this is how the word should turn if you want people who look at you to be able to read it, but it looks cool haha.

For the lower lashline, I went in with the NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Prague (*) on the waterline and used the hot pink from the blush palette (*) to set it. I do not know if the lip product is eye safe, so I would not recommend doing this! I am such a good role model, aren’t I? I then used the Pointed Blender Brush and the same hot pink shade to blend out the lower lashline.

For highlight, I used the same pink/purple highlight shade from the Makeup Revolution All About Pink Blush Palette (*). On my lashes, I used the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara.

I really hope you enjoyed this makeup look, I had a great deal of fun while creating it! Let me know in the comments which characters you want to see next! Thank you for reading, I hope to see you back soon! xx
