TUTORIAL: SUMMERTIME SPOTLIGHT CUT CREASE

TUTORIAL: SUMMERTIME SPOTLIGHT CUT CREASE

I can not believe that it is August already! There is only one month left of the official summer months which makes me so sad as summer is my favourite time of the year. I want to keep making summery makeup looks for a while, so I wanted this to be a very colourful one. This does not only remind me of summer but also of the 80’s because of the funky colours hahaha. I hope you enjoy this colourful makeup look!

I started out by priming my lids with the MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Soft Ochre. I then went in on top of the unset primer with a pink shadow. I used the blush to the right on the bottom row from the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette All About Pink which I no longer can find on their website, so I don’t know if they don’t make it anymore, but I found it somewhere else (linked on the name of the item) if you are interested. I used the Pointed Blender Brush from Coastal Scents to pack on the pink shadow. I used a piece of paper on the outer edge of my eye to get the sharp edge. I will not keep the sharp edge for long as it just was to get the right shape of the shadow. I then blended out the edges of the pink shadow with the lightest blush from the same Blush Palette (the one to the left on the top row) with the Crease Blender Brush from Coastal Scents. With the same Pointed Blender Brush, I applied some of the same pink blush under my lower lashes and I blended it out with the same Crease Blender Brush and a bit of the lightest blush.

On my inner corner, I applied some of the Bright Yellow eyeshadow from Coastal Scents with the Pointed Detail Brush from Coastal Scents. I then went on to do the spotlight cut crease. I used the LA Girl Pro Conceal in Porcelain and the Small Foundation Concealer Brush from Coastal Scents to carve it out. I then applied Blue Zircon from Coastal Scents on top of the still wet concealer with the Smudge Brush from Real Techniques. Before dipping into the Blue Zircon eyeshadow, I used some NYX Cosmetics Setting Spray with Dewy Finish (*) to wet my brush so the shimmery eyeshadow would go on even more vibrant than if I applied it dry.

To complete the makeup look I applied some of White Sand (*) from the Ultimate Glow Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills (*) on the yellow inner corner to make it pop even more. I curled my lashes with the Eylure Heated Eyelash Curler (*) and applied some of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (*) to my upper lashes. I also applied some of the NYX Cosmetics Wonder Pencil in Light (*) on my waterline to brighten up my eyes.

I hope you enjoyed this rather 80’s look hahaha. I think it was so fun creating it with all of these bright colours! Let me know if this is something you would dare to wear out! I don’t think I would wear an eye look like this unless it was for something like a party where it would fit in. Thank you so much for reading, I hope to see you back soon! xx
