Review: Clinique High Impact Mascara

Review: Clinique High Impact Mascara

A while ago I bought a lot of skincare products from Clinique and therefore got a sample of their High Impact Mascara. I’m not always the biggest fan of trying out new mascaras, because if I don’t like them I’m still going to wear them for the rest of the day.

Luckily, I actually think the High Impact Mascara is okay. I really like the wand because it’s slim and makes it really easy to put on your mascara and disperse the product in an even amount. I also really likes the formula. I don’t find it clumpy in any way and gives your lashes a pretty, natural look. But even though I curl my lashes before putting on the mascara, I fell like the curve of my lashes fade over time, which it normal don’t do as much. In the start of the day my lashes will look curled and long, but after some hours of wear they’re no longer curled and you won’t be able to see them unless I tilt my head back.

I think the picture below shows my problem very well. I curled the lashes on the left eye and applied the mascara. I then waited two hours and did the same to the right eye. I applied the same amount and did as I’ve always do. But as you can see, the lashes on the left eye is not looking as great as the lashes on the right eye. The left eye looked exactly as the right eye when freshly done. Be aware that my right eye – on this picture, it’s the left in person – is a bit more closed than the other.

Would I repurchase this mascara? No, I don’t think I would. I will use up the sample sized that I got, but I will not use it on days where I’m going to be around a lot of people. I will give this mascara 3 out of 5 hearts.

Remember: If this mascara works for you, then that’s great! But it didn’t work out for me even though I liked it. The only reason I give this mascara 3 hearts, is because I don’t fell like my lashes look good after a couple of hours. Tell me your experience with this mascara in the comments!
