The Ordinary Serum Foundation (£5.70 for 30 mL) is a lightweight foundation with medium coverage which is available in 21 shades! I love that the foundation is available in so many shades even though it is relatively new on the marked. I can only imagine that they might come out with some more shades as I think they need some more medium and dark toned ones.
On their website they state that the foundation
– got a lightweight medium-coverage formula
– offer a natural look with a lightweight feel
– offer a semi-matte finish
– are compatible with most primers and are designed to work exceptionally well with the primers from The Ordinary
– is alcohol-free, oil-free, nut-free, gluten-free, soy-free, cruelty-free, and vegan
I really enjoy a good natural looking foundation and think I found a perfect match with this Serum Foundation. They got a shade range so wide that I had no problem finding a perfect match. I think they got a lot of lighter shades – which I think is great! – but I think they need some more medium and dark toned shades as said before. I actually didn’t expect the coverage of the foundation to be this good because of its thin consistency. But the foundation got medium-coverage as they promised and feels lightweight on the skin. Because the formula got a semi-matte finish I feel like it looks even more natural. Three of the shades (1.0NS, 1.2YG, and 2.0YG) offers a silver (S) or gold (G) highlight which I think would look so good on the skin and is definitely something I will try when I need a restock of this foundation. Even though the foundation looks great on its own I will say it looks even better when using The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer (read my review of the primer here), as I feel the eventual creasing I get during the day is minimised.
I can’t tell you enough good things about this foundation! The product it self is incredible and the price is so low! I can’t believe you’re able to get such a good product for no money! I definitely recommend trying this product which is why I award it 5 out of 5 possible hearts!
I can’t praise this product enough and still can’t believe it is only £5.70! I also think that the foundation is fit for every skin type no matter if you got dry, oily, or normal. Have you tried the Serum Foundation from The Ordinary? If you have, then let me know your opinion in the comments!
