Review: Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

Review: Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

The Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation (£4.5 for 30 mL) is the foundation the brand is most known for. They offer two other foundations, CoverAll Creme Foundation and Ultimate Match SPF 15 Foundation, plus a BB Cream. The Wet n Wild brand is really hard to find in the EU! They only have a couple of shades available on some makeup sites and I have only seen some shades in one physical store but the lightest shade they had available did luckily enough match me! And it is not even the lightest shade hahah! I can’t find the foundation on any UK webshops either. I own the foundation in the shade Soft Ivory.

On their website, they state that the foundation
is skin-perfecting
have a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection
 prevents white cast in photos

The foundation comes with a spatula instead of a pump. For some people, this is a problem but it doesn’t really bother me. The coverage of the foundation is medium but buildable. They state that the foundation is matte but I still think your skin looks alive when wearing it as it is not too matte. I do notice that it clings onto dry patches on my skin. I normally don’t set my entire face with powder but I do think you need to with this one as it doesn’t feel like it really dries down so powder products like bronzer, highlight, and blush will be tough to blend as it will cling onto the foundation. The foundation is available in 20 shades but I think they miss some of the deeper skin tones. They state that the foundation prevents white cast in photos so I tried to take some photos with the foundation on. The first photo is only the foundation and concealer while the second photo is with my makeup done. As you can tell, there is no flashback on any of these photos.

I will award this foundation 5 out of 5 hearts!

I think it is amazing they offer such an incredible foundation at such a low cost! I really think Wet n Wild needs to make an EU webshop so it is easier for us in Europe to get our hands on their products! Have you tried the Photo Focus Foundation from Wet n Wild? If you have, then let me know your opinion in the comments!
