THIS IS MY ENTRY TO THE NYX NORDIC FACE AWARDS 2018! I have created a pink forest fairy and I am so proud of the finished look! A big challenge for me was that one of the requirements in this competitions was that I had to make a video on how I created this look and upload it to Instagram (click THIS LINK to see my video!). It might sound easy, but as one who has never filmed anything before, it was a bit of a challenge! It later turned out that it wasn’t the recording part that was going to be my issue as I found a way to make it work. I edited my clips together using the app iMovie for MacBook and I think it turned out great and I was surprised how easy the program was to use! Until I had to save the 60-second video I just created… I tried to save it for four days!!!! I won’t even go into why and what I have tried! If I am being totally honest with you… Then I have to admit that I literally had a breakdown where I just stood there crying with my boyfriend trying to comfort me and cheer me up. I had used to much time and energy on this makeup look and this video. I was totally heartbroken that I could not get this programme to save the video to my desktop.

I ended up making a screen video of my own video (which is what the first part of my Instagram video is and why it is so bad quality). For whatever reason, it didn’t record the last part of my video and just skipped ahead to the ending so I had to try to save the last part of my video which surprisingly succeeded! That is the reason for the varying quality in my video hahahah. But I am finally here, on the finish line! I have uploaded my video to Instagram and I am now ready to see who they pick as the lucky 30 contestants! Honestly, I would be so proud to just reach top 30 as there are sooooo many talented boys and girls who have joined the competition! I am glad that I am not one of the judges who have to take such a hard decision!

But what is my inspiration for this look? Why did I choose to create a pink forest fairy? I normally create wearable looks, but as I was looking through some of the other contestants and some of the looks from the last couple of years, I realised that I had to come up with something different and throw myself out of my comfort zone! If you read my blog, then you might have seen my Harry Potter Inspired Makeup Series and thereby might have concluded that I love Harry Potter and the entire universe! I love fantasy and I have always been very creative with drawing my own fantasy animals and writing fantasy stories when I was younger, so I knew I wanted to create something in this genre.
